Bombardier Transportation is currently involved in three major projects in France.
- Autorail Grande CapacitÚ (AGC): The French National Railways (SCNF) chose Bombardier Transportation to provide 700 AGC trains. The trains have been designed and are produced at our Crespin plant. Over 360 of these high capacity regional trains are already in service in 20 regions. The remaining trains will continue to be delivered until 2011. more
- Francilien: The SNCF and the Ile de France Transport authority (STIF) also turned to Bombardier to provide the Francilien, the commuter train of the future. This ultra-modern train operates on the Transilien network in the Ile-de-France region. more
- OMNEO: Bombardier's new double-deck EMU family has been chosen for the regional transport in France. Under the contract signed in February 2010 and further options in March, six Regions have ordered a total of 129 trains to date, worth around 1.15 billion euros overall. The Crespin manufacturing site's production rate has been increased to a maximum of 60 trains per year, so that the complete order for 129 trains can be delivered by mid-2016. more
